Delivering Community Atmosphere
This extensive project scope involved a comprehensive redesign
and expansion of the neighbourhood centre, library, carpark,
landscape areas and bus interchange to meet the increasing needs of
the local City of Onkaparinga community.
ISIS was engaged to deliver this project, which spanned a number
of different sectors including retail, office fitout, hospitality,
education, and a commercial kitchen.
The client was primarily concerned with integrating sustainable
solutions, value engineering to allow the project to go ahead,
fostering community involvement, as well as the early completion of
the library component to allow for six weeks of stacking books
prior to the community centre opening.
This project was awarded the:
- 2011 National Excellence in Building and Construction Award
for Best National Public Building $5 million to $10 million
- 2011 South Australian Master Builders Association Building
Excellence Award for Excellence in a Commercial
Refurbishment/Redevelopment over $5 million.
Testimonial
Given the project was originally programmed to take fourteen months, to reopen this centre in under eleven months once the occupants vacated in May 2010, was an outstanding achievement by ISIS Group.
