Permanent headquarters complete Victorian arts crown
The completion of MTC’s new headquarters dropped the final jewel
into the crown of Victoria’s, if not Australia’s, pre-eminent arts
precinct. But behind all the glitter lay the many issues ISIS had
to resolve to bring the project to world class fruition. Among them
were:
- Latent conditions
- Hazardous materials
- Unusual heights
The ISIS team had to show versatility and flexibility in
managing a wide range of contractors and trades. Aside from the
visual appeal of the space, light and acoustic qualities were
critical factors to a successful outcome.
Considered a landmark project, ISIS has received warm praise for
the quality of the finishes, the space and the workmanship that
makes MTC finally feel at home.
