Five Star Green Star standards
Maunsell AECOM, one of the fastest growing engineering
consulting firms in the Asia Pacific region, was moving to the GPO,
a landmark heritage building in Perth. ISIS was engaged by Thinc
Projects as Construction Manager to complete a $20 million fitout
to 5 Star Green Star standard. The GPO is Perth’s only refurbished
building to be awarded a Green Star rating for the base building
design.
A successful result
ISIS partnered with AECOM’s sustainability consultant to
determine and document the environmental impact of each fitout
component. The furnishings were chosen for their modularity and
reusability and the majority of workstations had access to natural
light. The fitout included showers and change rooms to encourage
the use of bicycles by commuters. The project was the first fitout
to achieve a 5 Star Green Star rating in WA.
