A complex fitout with minimal disruptions
As part of a long-term renovation project, The Department of
Housing & Works wanted a full refurbishment and fitout of the
top level of Dumas House in Perth. The works included full
perimeter balconies and a plant and equipment room. The client
wanted a principal contractor with a flexible approach to design
changes who could work with logistical challenges within the
building.
Minimal disruptions
The client did not want the fitout to disrupt state ministers’
offices located on the floor below. ISIS arranged for staff and
subcontractors to work outside office hours and cordoned off
relevant work areas. Because a stairwell needed to be extended
through to Level 13, ISIS coordinated all works with building
management to make sure the ministers’ offices were not
impacted.
The client was very impressed with the new fitout and the success
of this project was a contributing factor in ISIS’ successful
tender for a major government contract in Forrest Place, Perth.
