Flying high from fitout success
Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) needed to refurbish their
office space to increase seating numbers on the existing floor
plates and therefore avoid having to take out another lease to
house additional staff.
The previous figure of 380 workstations needed to be increased
to 500, requiring a significant number of fixed partition changes
and a considerable amount of power, data and mechanical alterations
and additions. ISIS had to consider several key client needs for
the duration of the project including minimal disruption to staff,
staged works to counteract the live environment, and on time
completion to meet handover schedule.
ISIS implemented a number of initiatives to minimise disruption
to staff, including noise control, dust containment and planned
lift access. Since project completion, staff morale and
productivity have increased at CASA due to the refreshed
surroundings.
