Inspiring spaces for university life
As part of major capital works for
Deakin University, ISIS was engaged on to expand and refurbish 2000
m2 of the central campus at Waurn Ponds – the
University’s second largest campus located 72 kilometers south west
of Melbourne. The university focuses on providing inviting spaces
for collaboration and interaction as part of the fabric of
university life. This new build and refurbishment reflects that
notion, upgrading the dining and communal areas to ensure a high
quality student environment that is both modern and
inspiring.
As ISIS’ second project at the
Waurn Ponds campus, the new build aspect represents ISIS' breadth
of delivery. The scope of works comprises 35% new construction and
65% refurbishment, extending to new external paving and extensive
landscaping fitted with a water harvesting system.
ISIS has critical experience
working within an operating school campus, with over 4300 on site
students at Waurn Ponds, and offered a collaborative, partnership
approach, and to deliver a high quality finish with zero
defects.
