Energy efficient data centre boosts university capacity
The University of Melbourne expanded one of its two onsite data
centres to meet demands for research, cloud based initiatives and
disaster recovery of applications and services across
geographically separated sites.
To deliver a successful project and satisfy the client, ISIS had
to meet critical timelines that were aligned with funding
deadlines. ISIS focused on early communication with the multiple
project stakeholders, and a flexible approach to deal with design
changes and ensure that the project was delivered on time.
The data centre also required sustainable elements to be
integrated into the data centre fitout. The plant and equipment
installed by ISIS are the most energy efficient systems that are
currently available in the market, resulting in a satisfied client
and a point of difference for the university.
