DeakinPrime is the Professional Services arm for Deakin
University and is located in the Melbourne CBD. Providing an
environment for customised training of corporate and large
organisations, the transformation of the DeakinPrime facility was
critical for the success of their business.
Competing against the likes of the Melbourne Business School and
the Melbourne University School of Management, DeakinPrime wanted
to provide their clientele with the premier training facility. This
includes corporate entertainment areas, a commercial kitchen,
formal and informal breakout spaces, video conferencing rooms,
semi-open plan layout and offices. The area needed to be flexible
enough to accommodate large group functions or individual team
activities.
The transformation of the 3,000m2 property was completed under a
full project management services and construction management
contract. After nearly a year of property searching and design,
followed by five months of construction, the project was handed
over on 18 November 2010 and was valued at over $5 million. The key
features of the property now include the stunning interconnecting
curved staircase, custom designer furnishings, custom feature
lighting and a custom ceiling grid. ISIS engaged specialists to
integrate the latest audio and visual technology into the
facility.
Congratulations to the Victoria team for their successful
completion of this end-to-end project. Overseen by the Commercial
Manager, James Doyle, the design consultants and construction works
were managed by Andrew Borg with his Project Coordinator, David
Woolsey. The site was managed by Travis Sharp with his Site
Coordinator, Joseph OíShea, and Construction Worker, Shaun
Randle.
