Hayley McBride presents the ISIS Group Australia Crystal Vision
Awards
The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) WA
launched their first ever awards event for women in the
construction industry on Friday 26 November. Titled the ISIS Group
Australia Crystal Vision Awards, the event was sponsored by ISIS
and hosted by our very own Hayley McBride of WA. Hayley is also the
president of the NAWIC WA chapter and had a lot of involvement in
the orchestration of the event. And of course, plenty of team
members from the Perth office attended the event, representing ISIS
in style.
The ISIS Crystal Vision Awards was a formal affair designed to
celebrate outstanding women in construction, and thanked all those
who have promoted and encouraged women through their progression in
the industry. While women in construction related roles have grown
by over five percent in the last five years, there is still a
significant gender gap in both representation across the industry
and average wage. It is hoped these awards will help to further
educate the industry on the valuable contribution women can make
and also promote construction as a viable career path for
women.
As the major sponsor, ISIS donated $5000 to the event. ISIS also
sponsored the major award presented on the evening, which was given
to Melanie Cave of Freehills Law Firm. Melanie is a Senior
Associate at Freehills and looks after construction law.
Congratulations to everyone involved, especially the leading
ladies.
