30 May 2011
Earlier this month, 11th May, Architecture Media and ISIS held
the 5th Architecture Australia Roundtable forum in Perth at the new
ISIS office. The event was very successful with over 100 people
turning up to hear the entertaining and informative discussion
around 'Retrofitting our Cities'. The speakers were extremely
well received, with a number of key partners and potential clients
in attendance.
One guest said, “Can I just say I found the round table:
'Retrofitting Our Cities' a thoroughly stimulating, thought
provoking and enjoyable evening. I would like to thank Architecture
Australia and ISIS for hosting such an event. The guest panel were
wonderfully engaging and made the night such a success. I hope that
events such as this one can continue to encourage the architects,
landscape architects and urban planners to push the boundaries and,
through good practice, manipulate the general public/consumers
perspective on ‘green’ living and what an ‘Australian dream’ home
is really about.”
The speakers who participated were:
Melinda Dodson, Melinda Dodson Architects,
Immediate Past National President, Australian Institute of
Architects
Kieran Wong, CODA
Peter Elliott, Peter Elliott Architecture + Urban
Design
Richard Weller, Urban Design Centre of Western
Australia
