Scope of Works

Refurbishment of the existing Reading Room and Treasures Gallery at the East Block Offices incorporating:

Matching of existing heritage building materials, including new floor finishes, ceiling modifications and new joinery to Reading Room. Alterations to the Treasures Gallery including construction of timber floor and stairs to match the existing gallery. Installation of disabled access lifts for the new gallery layout.

• Attention to detail in craftsmanship, ensuring the heritage status and standard of finishes within East Block were maintained. This project won the MBA Excellence Award in the Heritage building category in 2006.
