At ISIS the only truly acceptable injury statistic is zero, and
just one person being injured is one person too many.
After reviewing our incident data, we were able to identify some
of the most common and serious injuries occurring on our sites.
Following a risk assessment process, one of the recommendations
that was put forward (and implemented) was the introduction of full
“Personal Protective Equipment.” That is, all people working on an
ISIS site will wear steel capped boots, a hard hat, protective
eye-wear, gloves, a high-visibility vest and will carry hearing
protection with them. This also applies to visitors who will be
walking around the working site.
