The Sofitel Wentworth is a time-honoured five star hotel in Sydney’s CBD. In keeping with the reputation of the Sofitel luxury hotel brand, this is an establishment that is thoroughly memorable, welcoming and elegant.

Our customer communicated a strong desire for the enhancements to this Sydney icon to offer the most modern facilities while retaining the existing charm and character.

Over 14 weeks, we carried out works to three levels of the hotel, refurbishing the Executive Club Lounge, the Garden Court Restaurant and the Function Rooms.

The transformation was to exceptionally high levels, with intricate detailing and five star finishes to all areas. The timeframe was tight due to the upcoming APEC Conference, which gave us an immovable end date.

This was achieved despite the addition of significant additional works.

Our extensive experience in sourcing one-off items played a part in determining the level of excellence and our ability to be flexible yet meticulous led to a successful result. Out of hours work played a major role in this project. 

From strip out to rebuild, our team maintained an exceptional quality benchmark and was able to give heritage elements such as the bar, library and ornate ceiling a new presence while modernising the space and services around them.

Inspired by the unique relationship, quality of workmanship and the outstanding result, the customer has asked us to tender on many new projects.
