With a superb location between Magnetic Island, the Breakwater Marina and the Strand, Jupiters regularly wins tourism awards for its outstanding facilities.

Discussions through Tabcorp over several months led to our appointment to implement significant changes to the property. We were then engaged in a Negotiated Lump Sum capacity. The aim was to provide a unique experience that was not offered in Townsville and also to refresh additional rooms and facilities. Contemporary and opulent were the key words that defined the customer’s brief.

Balancing the sometimes-conflicting expectations of five star quality against budget were resolved by careful prototyping and careful selection of quality trades people.

The project was completed in distinct stages, breaking the work up into two levels of soft refurbishment followed by three levels of complete demolition and reconfiguration of rooms. 

The transformation of the existing rooms centred around the main design element of a glass-walled bathroom that allows guests to feel that inside and outside were one. A large number of rooms take advantage of ocean views and nearby Magnetic Island, so we were able to maximise what this unique site had on offer. 

The final product has been well received by everyone from management to new guests to the local media, and has once again put Jupiters on the map as a must-visit destination.
