World class - two carefully chosen words that were articulated by our customer as the road map for their new corporate offices at Waterfront Place in Brisbane.

Certainly, the project carried a practical need to house relocated staff and operations from Melbourne to Brisbane and to provide management facilities close to the majority of BHP’s Australian mines, which are spread throughout Queensland. But, as with many of the works we carry out for large corporate customers, the bigger brief was more emotional than rational. BHP was moving the resources to where the action is.

As such, the transformation became a matter of turning an empty space into a place where decisions could be made that shape the face of the company. Our wealth of experience, depth of industry knowledge and ability to deliver on our promises became the keys to this high-quality makeover.

Weekly meetings with the Project Manager and customer became a real pleasure to attend and it was clear that there was a shared vision with all parties and that a great outcome would come to fruition. Excellent drawings and documentation meant that the ISIS team and subcontractors were able to execute the construction to the highest possible standards.
